May Matters Walk 2022

11am Sunday 29th May - rain or shine!

Join us for a family friendly fun walk along The City Promenade along the banks of the Ōtākaro / Avon River, in support of the White Matter Brain Cancer Trust. 

The May Matters Walk is a chance to come together in support of the work of the Trust, to increase awareness and generate donations. The money raised will help provide financial assistance to brain cancer sufferers and their families.

Its about the journey, not the distance! 

This walk is approximately 4.5km commencing at Riverside Market, past the Earthquake Memorial Wall looping past the Boatsheds, under the Bridge of Remembrance and along the Promenade to loop past the Margaret Mahy Family Playground and back again – suitable for all ages and abilities.

After the walk, join the Trust and enjoy live music, delicious food, beverages and warm hospitality thanks to Riverside Market.
