May Workshop: How To Write a Great Short Story
Event description
Wednesday May 14 @ 9am Pacific Time
Short stories are a great way to exercise your writing chops. They can also be deceptively challenging. Although their word count is substantially lower, they include all of the same elements like story structure, plot, character development, and world building.
Join Allegory Editing Founder and Executive Editor Andrea Karin Nelson for this fun workshop about the art of writing short stories.
Participants will learn what goes into crafting dynamic short pieces—including micro-fiction. We’ll also talk about the market for short stories and strategies for getting published. Attendees will walk away from the workshop with practical tools and exercises for writing a great short story.
