The Moreton Bay Colleges' Foundation invites you to attend the first Business Breakfast event on Wednesday 13 October at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron in Manly. Tickets are strictly limited and capped at 200 guests.

Our Business Breakfast event is aimed at encouraging networking and supporting the development of strong partnerships between the college and business community. You will hear from a prominent and inspirational speaker, with a format that allows plenty of time and opportunity for professional engagement.  

Our Guest Speaker: Dr Dinesh Palipana OAM

Dr Dinesh Palipana OAM is a doctor, lawyer and disability advocate. He is the first quadriplegic medical intern in Queensland, Australia. He is the second person with quadriplegia to graduate as a doctor in Australia and the first with spinal cord injury. 

Dr Dinesh is this year's Queensland Australian of the year.

During medical school, Dinesh was involved in a catastrophic car accident that caused a spinal cord injury. In 2016, he graduated with several awards and was the first quadriplegic medical intern in Queensland and the second person to graduate medical school with quadriplegia in Australia. 

His story is inspiring and we're thrilled to welcome him as the keynote speaker at our first event.

Our Master of Ceremonies: Leigh Muirhead

Leigh owns a voice-over studio and records voice on television and radio ads, training videos and more. Leigh produces and hosts her radio program on 94.1 FM Gold Coast every Sunday morning. Her friendly manner and confident style has connected her to audiences across the nation for many years, creating a recognisable face amongst the audience.

The Menu: 

Upon arrival, you will have your choice of freshly brewed coffee or tea. Seasonal fruit platter and juice on the table.  With an alternate drop of the following:  

Eggs Benedict, leg ham, sour dough, spinach, hollandaise

Spiced sweet corn fitters, avocado, heirloom tomato, basil.

The Venue:  COVID Safe notes 

The Business Breakfast will be run to an industry COVID Safe plan.  This will include mandatory contact tracing and abiding by any other government restrictions in place at the time of the event. We ask that you stay home if you are unwell, have a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue, shortness of breath, or have been in contact with a positive coronavirus case.
