Masters of Bike Share
Event description
Interested in riding a BCycle but haven't yet taken the plunge? Now is your chance to take these pedal-assist city cruisers for a spin.
Thanks to the generous support of our partners at AARP, the first 10 members to register will receive a free monthly membership to BCycle. You will learn how to create a BCycle account, check out a bike, and use it to run errands or ride just for fun! We will show you tricks and tips to make your BCycle trip a success and suggest fun routes that get you through the city pedaling on paths, bike boulevards, or protected bike lanes.
Staff from the City of Madison and Dane County Extension are excited to lead two group rides to nearby destinations and hear your perspective about using bikes in the City of Madison. You will also receive additional goodies to support your rides. This program is intended for adults ages 50+. While the ride will be casual, it is not for first-time bike riders. You should have some experience riding a bike. Also required is a credit card (though your membership will be free), and ideally, a smartphone to download the BCycle App. We will assist you in getting this set up on your phone.
*This event is limited to 10 participants, so please register by Friday, September 12! If spaces fill quickly, we will create a waitlist. If you registered but are no longer able to attend, please contact the people below at your earliest convenience.
