Conference Speaker – Wanda Chavis

Being raised in a UPCI church planter's home, and serving in pastoral ministry for over 40 years, Wanda has a heart for women and especially women in ministry.

Her passionate mantra is: "To educate and inspire women to be courageous and proactive in their spiritual, physical, and mental health."

She married Jeff L. Chavis in 1975 and they have 3 wonderful sons, Brocc, Cortt, and Kyle; three beautiful daughters-in-love and 10 adorable GRAND children. Together they have served as Pastors and now Bishop - of The Pentecostal Church of Spring Lake, NC, since 1981.

Upon being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, Wanda enrolled in college and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Alternative Medicine.  She then went on to receive her Masters in Public Health Administration with a Concentration in Complimentary Medicine in 2016. A Certified Clinical Thermographer, Wanda owns "Picture of Health & Thermography, LLC”. She has numerous holistic health certifications and is passionate about teaching women to navigate life and health challenges, using the natural alternatives God has provided. She is an accomplished pianist, singer, songwriter, and recording artist and is also a published author.

Wanda currently serves the UPCI NC District as Ladies Ministry President and is in demand as a Conference and Event speaker across the nation.
