Measuring what Matters: Physical Literacy from the Individual Child to Policy
Description
Free Physical Literacy Week 2026 Seminar
How can measuring physical literacy help us better support children to be physically active, improve teaching and inform policy?
Join us for a special Physical Literacy Week seminar at The University of Western Australia, featuring Professor Gareth Stratton, Healthway Visiting Fellow and international expert in children's physical activity, and Professor Michael Rosenberg from UWA's KIDDO program.
The seminar will explore the latest research and evidence on measuring children's physical literacy, from understanding individual children's needs to informing population-level approaches and government policy.
You'll also get a first look at KIDDO's latest fundamental movement skill findings from 36,852 WA children aged 4–8 years across 271 schools, highlighting what's going well and where we can improve.
