Event description

We have just confirmed the December destination on our plant-based tour of world cuisine and culture... omg... we're visiting PERSIA!

It's a dream come true to have persuaded the two very talented chefs of bespoke catering company and culinary studio Silkroad HQ to come to the island especially for this event.

Silkroad HQ was founded by award-winning chefs Frederick and Seyavash. Inspired by the ancient Silk Road - where China and Persia once traded treasures and traditions - their venture blends the flavours, artistry, and hospitality of East and West.

At the heart of Silkroad HQ is a shared passion for storytelling through food. Frederick, a Chinese & pan-Asian cuisine chef and international food stylist, has worked on cinematic productions like Disney’s Mulan and Amazon’s Rings of Power. His refined touch has also created banquets for culinary icons including Peta Mathias, Julie Le Clerc, and MasterChef’s Ray McVinnie.

Seyavash, a Persian-born patisserie maestro raised in Dubai and trained at Le Cordon Bleu Wellington, brings elegance, flair, and a heritage-rich approach to every sweet creation. His artistry reflects his multicultural journey - and a deep reverence for hospitality passed down from his mother.

Starter

ZEYTOON PARVAEDE DIP WITH FRESH BARBARY BREAD

Persian dip made with with walnuts, pomegranate and olives served with freshly baked barbary bread and sumac tomato salad.

Main

MODERN FEZENJAN WITH PERSIAN SPICED RICE

Roulade made of yam, shitake mushroom, water chestnuts, and marinated tofu wrapped in tofu skin, served with a fezenjan sauce made of walnuts and pomegranate. Served with turmeric infused rice with almond slivers, dried fruits and herbs.

Dessert

PERSIAN LOVE CAKE

Rose infused cake spiced with Persian flavours, served with Greek yoghurt and berry coulis
