Join us for a free, hands-on day of skill-sharing and great food, led by two local legends passionate about quality meat and authentic techniques.
Whether you want to brush up on your butchery skills or learn how to perfect a smoked brisket, this workshop is for you. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn from the best, mingle with local industry providers, and enjoy a great day out for the whole family.
What to Expect
BUTCHERY DEMONSTRATION: Watch Andrew Gould from A.G. Home Butchery, a mobile butcher with over 19 years of experience, as he breaks down sides of beef, sheep, and pork. The session will also include tips on making delicious homemade sausages.
SMOKING MASTERCLASS: Learn spit-roasting and smoking secrets from Chef Evan Algate, owner of the Souvlaki Inn and Pavilions Bistro. With 20+ years of experience, Evan will showcase his signature brisket smoking methods and share professional tips on flavour and technique.
FOOD & DRINK: Enjoy catering throughout the day provided by the Wentworth Branch ICPA, capped off with end-of-day meat tastings.
INDUSTRY MINGLE: Connect with local support and agricultural service providers in a relaxed setting.
FUN FOR THE KIDS: The Outback Mobile (OMRU) will be on-site providing activities to keep the kids entertained from 10am to 2pm.
