Event description

Let trained chef Helena Willes guide you in creating mouth-watering plant-based versions of dishes from exotic Myanmar (formerly Burma). Helena's grandmother was Shan Burmese, a tribe from the Thai border in the hills to the north of Rangoon. Growing up, Helena learned to cook by making traditional Burmese food with her aunties. The menu for this event, inspired by these family recipes, is as follows:

Ono Kyauk-Swe (Burmese Coconut Noodle Soup)
Let thoke (hand mixed salad)
Si-Hta-Min (turmeric sticky rice with toppings)
Kyauk Kyaw (coconut jelly)

Come at 4pm for the cooking lesson or 6pm for the dinner.
For health and safety reasons and to maximise learning we are limiting the cooking class to 20 people.
