Meatfree Mondays Visits Egypt
Event description
We have a destination for October thanks to the wonderful Hadas Ore who has stepped in at the last minute to take us to Egypt! She will be joined by her partner, Yossi, who has Egyptian heritage.
Hadas is a food anthropologist and food rescue superhero who has run dozens of successful food-related initiatives and cooking classes at WRT. You may remember her from our very first Meatfree Mondays meal, when we visited the Middle East.
They have an amazing authentic menu to share with us:
Shorbat Adas, a flavourful lentil soup
Bamia, an okra and tomato dish, served with rice
An Egyptian version of Baklava
Come and learn to cook the dishes with Hadas and Yossi at 4pm (bookings essential) or just come to eat and socialise from 6pm. If coming for the workshop please wear closed shoes to comply with health and safety regulations.
If you're able to bring your own plates and cutlery it'd be much appreciated as the WRT don't have quite enough and it also reduces the mountain of dishes we have to do at the end of the night! This is a nonprofit event so if you could do us this little favour we'd be very grateful.
