Welcome to Medicinal Mycology, the first event of The People's Medicine Series in which we explore the profound healing of working with the natural medicine. Within this community-centered educational series we highlight an exploration in mental wellbeing, the nervous system and ways in which we may synergize medicinal mushrooms and adaptogenic herbs to promote newfound mental resilience. This overarching theme will guide us through the art and science of mycology as we dive into a diversity of other subjects that can inspire us to work with these medicines on a deeper level. Our mission is to promote resilience and resourcefulness within our community so we can help support the growing epidemic of mental health, chronic stress and various mental conditions that seem to be emerging at this time. We open this series to those who wish to work intently with natural medicine with themselves and act as leaders within their communities. The diversity of modalities for healing Nature offers is nothing short of awe-inspiring, and in returning back to nature, we can begin to how to take significant strides towards greater holistic wellbeing.

Online & In person Events

We will be hosting two different events, one in person and one online.

1. The in-person workshop will be held October 26th from 10am-7pm PST at the Loving Well in Tacoma, Washington.

2. The second will be am online series with a digital immersive experience. This will be held online November 2nd from 10am - 7pm PST.

3. The Mastermind package is available to anyone who is interested in taking a very deep dive into this field together. This will be an online weekly meetup for the following month that will encompass ways in which to begin working with natural medicine in your community as a leader. Each mastermind member gains access to the initial workshop, in-person or live, in addition to 4 follow up deep dive sessions in which we explore:

A Note from the Host

My name is Jonathan Fredette, founder of Evolved Wellness and Evolved Mushrooms, and I have had the privilege to lead a number of educational workshops and community gatherings for the past 6 years. My intent is to inform with a lens that is both rooted in scientific understanding as well as direct experience, with each helping inform the other. I am deeply passionate about supporting a broader lens of holistic education that supports my community in supporting themselves and their close friends and family with a deeper understanding of the healing sciences. This is a people's medicine and I believe we all have the right to take up the authority within each of our lives to better ourselves with the gifts nature intends for us.
