I have held space and shown many people how to make their own drum without them having prior experience in drumming, weaving, or crafting.

I AM HERE TO GUIDE YOU STEP BY STEP THROUGH THE PROCESS OF BIRTHING YOUR OWN UNIQUE MEDICINE DRUM.

YOU'LL GET:

18-inch Rosewood hoop (deer)

Full uncut deer hide

Synthetic sinew of varying colours

All tools to complete the process; scissors, punches, glue, etc

Decorative items: natural feathers, crystals, ornaments, etc.

OPTIONAL:

Locally custom-made mallet (Paul from Gongwalkabout)

Local bespoke cotton drum bags (made by my mamma bear, Susan from Susie's Home Crafts)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Any feathers, crystals, shells, or anything else that has meaning to you that you'd like to thread or stick onto your drum (ideally, it will have a hole for threading or be small enough to be glued on)

9:30 - 10 Meet & great, intro
10 - 11:30 Meet your deer meditation, decorate your hoop
11:30 - 1 Cut and thread your hide
1 - 2:30 Tension your drum
2:30 - 4 Decorate your drum
4 - 4:30 Finishing touches, final questions, closing.

WHAT MAKES ME QUALIFIED TO TEACH THIS WORKSHOP?

Not only have I made many medicine drums and taught others how to make their own, but I am also a qualified Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, Sound Facilitator, and Meditation Teacher.

I have facilitated workshops, classes, day retreats, weekend retreats, and online sessions.

Using these modalities in these different formats, I have spent the last five years bringing people back into their bodies, easing their minds, and settling their nervous systems.

I currently spend my days finding new ways to empower women and men to discover their true selves so they can live a life they love.
