MEDITATION & MINDFULNESS - PARKDALE

Meditation details

Inviting you to experience meditation & mindfulness led by qualified meditation teacher Rena. Rena has just completed running her third carer respite meditation course at BHN Parkdale. The courses are being well received by the carers who participate, providing an opportunity for attendees to take some time for meaningful respite.

Both new and existing participants are welcome to join Rena for a new term of weekly meditation beginning on Friday 8th August.

This is an 8-week course finishing on the 26th of September - we encourage Carers to attend each week, however if this is not possible, you are welcome to attend when you can.

Meditation dates/time

Dates:

August commencement: Friday 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th.

September commencement: Friday 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th

Time: 1-2:30pm (Meditation 1-2pm, light refreshments from 2-2:30pm)

Carers are not expected to stay for refreshments after the meditation session; we have opened this time for those that would like to chat to our meditation teacher and relax after the session.

Location: BHN Parkdale 335-337 Nepean Highway (Meet at reception 5 minutes prior to session)

Rena is also currently working with Community Home Support Program (CHSP) clients at our social support groups (SSG) located in Mentone and East Bentleigh. Rena has prior experience working with NDIS clients.

This group activity will offer you the opportunity:

to experience a variety of mindful meditations
to explore bringing more mindfulness into your daily life
to enjoy light refreshments & social connection with the group after meditating
