Community Care Meditation and Stretch
Event description
The intention of this meditation and stretch class is to create a safe space that facilitates care for not only your body and mind, but also that of your community; peers, family, friends, co-workers and the environment. Community care starts with the act of tending to oneself, the compassion and gentle curiosity towards our body and mind. Through curated practices of breath, meditation and yin yoga inspired stretching, we'll explore how to reset the nervous system, release physical and emotional tension through the body and meditate on various ways to help calm our easily overwhelmed brains.
This class is for everyone! Whether you’ve never stretched or meditated in your life or you practice every day, I believe everyone needs an hour in their week just to tap out and be with community.
A note that access to this class is free for First Nations peoples.

Due to this space being a community room, classes beyond these dates are pending on availability. Further notice will be announced
TO BRING:
- Yoga mat (can find cheap ones on FB Marketplace or Carlton Good Karma group on FB)
- Comfy clothes
- Drink bottle
- Bolster/pillow and blanky for comfort (optional but recommended)
