This is an intensive, interactive exam preparation course for advanced trainees in anaesthesia about to sit the ANZCA Final Exam viva.

It will be run by Dr Meghan Shaw 2023 Cecil Gray Prize winner for achieving the highest marks in the Final Exam.

Essentially our aim is to teach all the techniques, structures and verbal skills that were crucial to my success in this exam.

These online sessions on zoom are incredibly interactive to enhance your learning. We will run through many many cases using specific techniques to give you a good understanding of how to use them.

The Medical Viva Session will address

Advanced medical history and examination
Common conditions that you will need to know!
Validated rating scales
Functional capacity
Demonstration of the actual ANZCA medical viva

The ECG session will cover

A framework for interpreting ECGs
Arrhythmias including - Rapid AF, WPW and DCR, as well as SVT
Prolonged QT
Broad complex tachycardia (VT vs SVT)
Ischaemia
LVH
Strain
Heart blocks and much more
