LOGISTICS

TIMES: The start time is from 5pm, with a finish time around 7pm, Wednesday Oct 20, 2021. The moonrise is at 6:15pm. Sunset is at 6:31pm.

LIVE STREAM: The event will also be livestreamed if you want to watch from home or somewhere else in nature. Click here for the live stream.

LOCATION: On the grass at Gurndandulup / Matilda Bay, near Bayside Kitchen. Find Bayside Kitchen on Google Maps

ELDERS: There will be space set aside for Elders - please make sure they have the space they need with any relevant social distancing measures. There is a dropoff area/loading zone directly outside of Bayside Kitchen for Elders to be dropped off and picked up.

WHAT TO BRING: Please bring a picnic, camp chair and/or picnic rug, jumpers/rugs to keep warm, and wet-weather gear.

FOOD: Feel free to bring your own picnic. Bayside Kitchen cafe will also be open for take-away until 7pm.

RUBBISH: Please take your rubbish with you when you leave.

DOCUMENTING: We will be documenting this process in order to tell the story more widely, including through Aboriginal-led research. Please contact us before the event if you do not want to appear in any photography, filming or other documentation.

COVID MEASURES: All COVID measures will apply. Please bring and wear a mask if you wish.

GETTING THERE:

DRIVING: UWA student and staff parking is free after 5pm, if available. There is also limited ticketing parking available nearby, including in UWA carparks. Check the UWA Parking Map for more information. There is a larger amount of parking available near Royal Perth Yacht Club on Australia II Drive - find in relation to Bayside Kitchen on Google Maps.
BUS: Buses to the Crawley Campus are frequent with regular services from the city, Subiaco, Morley and along Stirling Highway - see more details at http://www.transport.uwa.edu.au/public Service 97 stops runs along Hackett Drive. All the other routes stop on Stirling Highway.
