Discover the incredible account of Sister Betty Jeffrey OAM and the Australian war nurses who survived the bombing of a hospital ship in 1942, and subsequently spent 3 years in Japanese prison camps in Sumatra. Burgess reveals never-before-seen diaries that not only re-live the years the nurses spent as POWs but also reveals the incredible bravery of Betty Jeffrey and the outstanding work she carried out for the rest of her life.
The event will include a special presentation by Colin Burgess, a Q&A and an author signing.
