MEET & GREET - Movie Mutuals x The 48 Hour Film Project

Two days before the Melbourne 48 Hour Film Project kicks off, we’re bringing the filmmaking community together for a relaxed night of minigolf at The Great Escape Melbourne, in collaboration with Movie Mutuals.

Whether you’ve been part of the project for years or you’re thinking about entering for the first time, come along and get to know the community before the clock starts.

• Already registered a team? Meet the other teams, share your experiences and size up the competition.

• Looking for a team? Find your crew! Teams often are looking for writers, actors, editors, sound designers, composers and cinematographers at the last minute.

• Want to form a new team? Meet potential collaborators and build your team over a round of minigolf.

• Just curious? Come along, ask questions and find out how the 48 Hour Film Project works. Or you can just play mini golf with a bunch of cool people.

About the 48 Hour Film Project

Teams have just 48 hours to write, shoot, edit and deliver a short film. Every team is given the same genre, character, prop and line of dialogue to include, and the finished films are screened in cinemas before an audience, with awards presented at the end. It is one of the most fun and demanding creative challenges you’ll take on, and for many filmmakers it’s where they find their next collaborators.

Kick-off for the competition is on Friday 30 October.

We look forward to seeing you there.
