About the author

Lisa Ellery was raised on a farm near Esperance on Western Australia's south coast before studying law and arts at the University of Western Australia. She moved to Kalgoorlie-Boulder in 1998, where she built a successful career in commercial and mining law and later established her own law firm. Drawing on her deep connection to regional Western Australia and the mining industry, Lisa brings insight to her crime fiction. She is the author of the acclaimed crime novels Private Prosecution and Hot Ground, both set against the distinctive backdrop of Western Australia's Goldfields.
