Join us for our May artist talk where judge of this year's Brisbane: Landmarks Landscapes and Personalities Seabastion Toast will be speaking about her art and practice. 

Seabastion is an accomplished painter known for her vibrant and immersive works of art, including still life, portraits, and landscapes. She currently resides in Coffs Harbour, NSW, where she draws inspiration from the beauty of everyday moments. With a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts and a significant exchange program at Pratt Art Institute in New York, Seabastion has garnered recognition for her talent, winning awards such as the Darcy Doyle Award and the Glover Prize. Seabastion's artistry blends abstract compositions with astute observations of daily life, creating a narrative depth that resonates with viewers. Her work, influenced by a diverse range of artistic styles from the Renaissance to contemporary innovations, invites audiences to explore the interplay of light and shadow, embracing the beauty of imperfection. Through her dedication to evolving as an artist and inspiring others to embark on their creative journeys, Seabastion seeks to convey the transformative power of art and the significance of slowing down to truly appreciate the world around us.

This talk will be held at Petrie Terrace Gallery on Sunday, 5th of May from 11am to 1pm.
Ticket Prices:
$5 for RQAS Brisbane Members
$15 for the Public
Although this is a member's gathering, all are welcome to attend! Event is at Petrie Terrace Gallery and afternoon tea is included in the ticket price. Make sure to book your ticket via Humanitix, as spaces are limited!

Please note, this talk will be held downstairs in the main gallery which is accessible for those who use a wheelchair.
