Meet the Author - The Lacemaker's Son
The Hut Community Centre
Aldgate SA, Australia
Event description
Ted Setnikar recounts his life growing up in the former Yugoslavia where he was sold for two litres of shnapps and a handful of cigarettes by his father at the age of four. He lived a life of servitude experiencing horrific abuse and cruelty until he managed to escape from Yugoslavia and started the long journey of migration to Australia. He arrived in Adelaide in 1967 where he connected with Hutt St Centre through volunteering.
Ted's book is a very moving story of survival, this session will be a relaxed and informal chat with an opportunity to ask questions.
Books will be available for purchase on the day
