Meet the Candidates for MacKillop Ward (Fitzroy) in the upcoming Council election

Local government elections will be held in Victoria during October. In the City of Yarra, the election will be held by post. There are 51 candidates for nine positions across nine council wards. Our interest in is the MacKillop Ward as this follows the boundaries of Fitzroy. In fact, we argue it should have been called Fitzroy to make life simpler.

Four candidates have nominated for MacKillop Ward. Only one can win. We have invited all four candidates to offer their pitch to residents and answer question compiled based on issues residents identify as important. Stephen Jolly (independent) and Charlotte George (Greens) have both accepted and will be there. Belle Gibson (Socialists) and Renee Smith have apologised due to work commitments that evening.

Please join us for this important event and complete our questionnaire so we have a good handle on what you think is important.

Attendance is free. Food and drink will be available at the venue at bar prices.
