Meet the Others | 7 Oct | Childfree Drinks for First-Timers, Melbourne

Your friends are having kids. Your weekends look different to theirs. And finding new people as an adult is harder than anyone admits.

Meet the Others is a small, relaxed drinks night for childfree adults in Melbourne who are ready to meet people who get it. No explaining your choices, no conversations that circle back to school zones and sleep schedules. Just good company and people living a similar kind of life.

How it works

It's a table of eight, hosted by Nicole, a TOC member and our Melbourne host. She'll make the introductions and keep the conversation easy, so you don't need to know anyone or be good at small talk. Just turn up.

What to expect

The night before, we'll send you an email with Nicole's photo and exactly where to find the table, so you'll know who you're looking for when you walk in. If you're running late or feeling nervous, just reply to that email and Nicole will keep an eye out for you.

On the night, Nicole will give you your free month code and help you set up your account, so by the time you head home you'll already be part of The Others Club, with your Melbourne group and upcoming meetups ready to go.

• When: Wednesday 7 October, 6pm to 7pm. That's the official hour, but the table is booked until 8pm, so stay on if you're having a good time.

• Where: The Carlton Club, 193 Bourke St, Melbourne

• Spots: Eight spots, first-timers only

• Tickets: $20, includes one drink and a free month of membership (worth $24)
