Meet the Practitioner: Dr. Tom Gole

Come meet Dr. Tom Gole from 5pm-6pm on September the 18th in room 537, building 39a at St Lucia. These 'Meet the Practitioner' events presents both undergraduate and postgraduate students with the opportunity to engage with industry representatives and discuss career orientated questions. 

Dr. Tom Gole is Executive Director – Local Government and Strategic Operations at the Queensland Treasury Corporation, where he is responsible for QTC’s work with local governments and universities, its public sector financial literacy program and its data and modelling capabilities. Over the course of his career in Australia and the US Tom has been a tech executive; a management consultant at a global strategy firm and a local boutique economics firm; a public servant and an academic. He also serves on the Board of the Centre for Policy Development, one of Australia’s leading policy institutes. Tom holds degrees in economics and in law from the University of Queensland and a PhD in Economics from Harvard University.
