'Meet Your Neighbor' Mother's Day Brunch
Description
Knock Knock Give a Sock works to humanize homelessness one sock at a time. One of the ways we do this is through our 'Meet Your Neighbor' Meals.
Every Mother’s Day, we come together for a truly meaningful brunch that brings mothers from all walks of life to the same table.
This gathering invites moms with homes and moms experiencing homelessness to sit side by side—sharing a meal, stories, and the universal experience of motherhood.
Because at the heart of it, we’re all neighbors.
We would love for you to join us at Ansche Chesed synagogue for a morning rooted in connection, dignity, and community.
What to Expect
For Moms 🤍
This brunch is a celebration of you.
Whether you’re in the newborn haze, chasing toddlers, or parenting grown children—this is a space to be held, seen, and celebrated.
You’ll have the opportunity to connect with other mothers from different backgrounds, share stories, and experience the kind of meaningful connection that reminds us we’re not alone in this journey.
For Kids 🎨
We’ve got them covered.
Our incredible volunteers will be running engaging, age-appropriate activities for children up to age 12—from crafts and games to a few surprises along the way!
For Dads + Community Members (12+) 🙌
You’re an essential part of making this experience possible.
Volunteers will help create space for moms to relax and enjoy their brunch—by spending time with the kids, playing, creating, and bringing joy to the day.
Think: crafts, games, building, laughter… and yes, probably a little chaos too (the good kind!).
