Meeting ourselves where we are at (QLD)

Event description

An opportunity to connect with your Queensland Yoga community, meeting ourselves and others exactly where we are at.

Feel supported by your community and feel supported within your practice as we use our props and dial up the slow flow.

Enjoying time out from our busy lives, often teaching and holding space for others, this is an opportunity to focus on ourselves through our practice and revisit some foundational aspects of Yoga. Using our props to support and remind us that sometimes, the slow and what may seem easier options, are often pathways to feeling more deeply into postures and meeting ourselves exactly where we are at rather than pushing ourselves forward, or perhaps, holding back from our true potential - with the right support.

 Inclusions:

- 75 Minute Soulful Slow Flow Yoga using all props.

- Evening Elixer and Snack served

- Networking opportunities whilst connecting with community after class.

What to Bring?

Socks a cozy jumper and a blanket! Mats, Bolsters and other props provided but feel free to BYO if you prefer.

Your yoga teacher for the evening will be Community Representative, Melissa Coggan.

About the Host:

Melissa discovered Ashtanga Yoga 30 years ago in Brisbane and has been practicing all styles of Yoga since. Yoga has been a constant in her busy life and it has provided her with tools and techniques to maintain a healthy connection to body mind and spirit.

Completing her 350 Hour Teacher Training with Tamara Yoga in Perth along with a Peter Hess Academy Sound Bath Facilitation course in Margaret River, Melissa loves to incorporate the benefits of subtle sound with her collection of Instruments.

Having returned to Queensland in 2023, Melissa is here to guide students to connect to Self. Using traditional Pranayama techniques, slow, mindful, intentional Yoga sequencing along with Kriya’s and her elements of sound. You are guaranteed to float out of her classes feeling a deeper connection to all that is, within and beyond along with a sense of equanimity that will see you move more gracefully through life.
