Wurundjeri Country ✧ Traditional Cacao Ceremony with Grandmother Xquenda
Event description
Hello sisters and brothers,
Coming together to share the medicine of Cacao and expand our hearts is a great gift.
Sometimes we live with a feeling of emptiness, on automatic pilot, without looking at others, without enjoying our food, a shower, a look, a sunset, we take life too seriously. Sometimes our hearts ache, we get sad, we get bitter, we close ourselves to life and love.
Our ancestors honored and used Cacao as a medicine for the heart, to reconnect with happiness, forgiveness and joy in life.
This sacred element was guarded by indigenous cultures from the Center to the South of America; in addition to having ceremonial properties, it is a natural antioxidant, accelerates blood flow and produces a pleasure effect at the brain level that causes relaxation and well-being in the body.
Its bitter taste helps us awaken the sweetness of life… how ironic, isn't it? Like the transitory experience of life towards death, the dance of opposites.
We will share ceremonial cacao from the lands of the Mayan, as well as the wisdom of this element directly from Mexico. Get ready to flood yourself with joy and open the way to healing the wounds of the heart, from heartbreak, loss, separation, existential emptiness...
It's a space to awaken your gifts, shake energy and stagnant emotions. It is an invitation to transform yourself deeply.
