Event description

BWA Melbourne: Accelerated Networking with Catherine Leach

It's time to get connected, in a dynamic, meaningful and fun way! Join Business Women Australia members with our host, the fabulous Catherine Leach (Founder and CEO of Leach Legal), to enjoy connecting with talented businesswomen at our 'accelerated business networking" event in Melbourne. This is a fabulous opportunity to meet and mingle with Melbourne’s leading women in business, enjoy a glass of wine and connect in a meaningful way.

The goal of this month's "accelerated networking" is to facilitate a dynamic, professional interaction, engaging with each other in shared exchanges that go deeper than the usual, impersonal elevator pitch. If you're keen to meet and engage with generous-spirited professional, executive and entrepreneurial women, this is a purposeful way to build your network.

Business networking not only helps foster professional friendships and support, it builds important skills and the confidence to operate effectively in corporate and commercial environments. If you are at a stage in your growth where you are establishing yourself or mentoring others, this will be the perfect opportunity to engage with credible, trusted and knowledgeable women. Business Women Australia encourages deeper connection and networking that has a long term relationship development focus, fostering true support, collaboration and business development.

Our members asked for an event like this. So, join us at this innovative event, to break down barriers, get to know each other and ensure everyone is connected.

The format of this dynamic, fun "accelerated networking" event will be similar to "speed business networking" - but not as superficial. Our inspirational host Catherine Leach will draw on her impressive experience and knowledge to kick off the event by sharing her professional networking tips and clarify the parameters of the interactive 'accelerated networking' exercise. You don't need to prepare. Spontaneity and imperfection is part of the fun, however for those who don't like surprises, you could consider some things to share that provide a deeper insight into what you e.g. what are most proud of in your work? What your passions and purpose? What inspired you to come to this event? Pairs will share their thoughts, ideas and experiences for approx 6 minutes per topic (3 minutes each person) before moving to the next person where we delve into another theme to share.

There will be an opportunity for some feedback to wind up, plus Q&A to tap into Catherine’s expertise as a successful business owner, respected lawyer and leader in our community.

A heartfelt thanks to Catherine and the Leach Legal team for hosting this event. Refreshments and light nibbles will be provided.

Numbers are limited, so register today to avoid missing out.

If you can’t make it to the event for any reason, feel free to invite a friend or colleague to take your seat, just let us know who will be attending as your proxy so we have their name at the door.
