The Melbourne Argonauts Rowing Club annual fundraiser Trivia Night returns in 2024 with a bit of a twist...announcing Argonauts Queerlympics Trivia! A night of trivia with camp sport competitions and entertainment along with a raffle and plenty of prizes! So get your friends and family together, dress as your favourite sport / sporting team (real or fake), and join us for a fun filled evening.Â
On the night:
- Opening Ceremony - experience the thrill of an Olympic-style kick-off!
- Trivia Rounds - test your knowledge on various sports, athletes, pop culture, and history. (Don't worry, we'll be including non-sports based questions as well)
- Entertainment - enjoy a variety of on-stage entertainment between rounds
- Faux-Sports Competitions - get ready for a friendly competition among teams to win some extra prizes - think purse throwing and other camp sports
- Raffle and Prizes - win fantastic prizes donated by local businesses
- Awards & Closing Ceremony - celebrate the top-performing teams and special achievements (including prizes for best decorated table and the Presidents Prize for best dressed table/team)
Dress Code: Feel free to embrace the Olympic spirit with your team's creative costumes as your favourite sport or sporting team - can be real or however you interpret sports team (anything from Manchester United to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills).
Drinks & Food: There will be a bar at the venue serving beer, wine, soft drinks and water. BYO is not permitted.
Snacks will be available for purchase at the venue, and food can be brought in with you or ordered in from local restaurants.Â
