Asia Society Australia’s annual gala is back and bigger than ever for 2026!

We are thrilled to announce that the Melbourne Asia Game Changer Awards will take place on 13 November 2026 at 1 Hotel Melbourne.

This year’s Icon Award recipient will be Melissa Leong, a first-generation Singaporean Australian presenter, author, food critic, and travel journalist whose influence has helped redefine how Asian Australian stories are seen and celebrated in mainstream media. One of the country’s most prominent media figures, Melissa has championed greater visibility for Asian Australian identity, food and culture on screen and inspired a new generation to see themselves reflected in public life.

We are also delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with 1 Hotel Melbourne, which will host this year’s Gala. Designed as a distinctive sustainable luxury, 1 Hotel is a perfect backdrop for MAGC, offering a modern setting for a contemporary celebration of Asian food, culture, and creativity. As part of this new partnership, the hotel will also provide an exclusive accommodation package for MAGC attendees (see the FAQ section to learn more about the offer - exclusive early bird rate till 12 June ).
