We are delighted to announce our forthcoming book, co-authored by Professor Dorothée Baumann-Pauly (GCBHR, University of Geneva), Professor Justine Nolan (Australian Human Rights Institute, UNSW), and Dr. Andy Symington (Australian Human Rights Institute, UNSW).

The need to develop more sustainable business models has never been more urgent. But what does “good" actually look like? Transforming Business answers with evidence. It showcases real companies adopting transformative business practices that align profits with human rights. Building better business models is not a theoretical aspiration - it’s a way of doing business.

Drawing on five years of original field research across six industries and multiple geographies — from cobalt mining in the DRC to rubber sourcing in the Amazon, cocoa farming in Côte d’Ivoire to diamond cutting in Botswana — we distil five core components of business model transformation. Our "Transformation Formula" constitutes the building blocks of rigorous human rights due diligence—and the foundation on which meaningful, lasting outcomes for workers, communities and business can be built.

Moderated by Dr Phoebe Wynn-Pope, Head of Responsible Business and ESG. Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Please note the book launch will be from 6pm-7pm followed by drinks and canapes.

Kindly hosted by Corrs Chambers Westgarth
