AGENCY UNTOLD, Monday 27th May - PROTECTING THE NATURAL AND CULTURAL VALUES OF SEA COUNTRY.
Event description
Join Agency, in partnership with First Nations design thinkers and rangers, for a series of breakfast conversations at our new Easey Street space in Collingwood, for Melbourne Design Week 2024.
Our powerful cross-cultural think tank, Rubbish on the Shore, recently held on Country in Arnhem Land, delved into design solutions for ghost net and associated marine debris affecting Indigenous communities and Sea Country across Northern Australia.Â
Building on these energised discussions, we are expanding these conversations as part of Melbourne Design Week, continuing to build the dialogue through diverse perspectives and the exploration of innovative solutions.
Join a panel of Indigenous Rangers in conversation as they unpack the work that they do and how protecting the natural and cultural values of Sea Country drives their work around beach clean-ups and finding new ways to tackle the ghost net and marine debris issue.Â
