First and foremost the Festival is about Dutch Food. Ollie Bollen, Kibbeling, Frites the Dutch way, Croquettes, Bitterballen, Fresh stroopwafers, Poffertjes, Boterkoek, Haaring etc. etc.. There will be a 170 seat restaurant selling Boerenkoel with Rookworst, Bahmi Goreng etc. And 'yes' there will be a grocery stall selling all sorts of Dutch levensmiddelen (groceries). There will be so much to see and do at the festival. Here’s just a taste of what has been planned.

The 2019 Holland Festival will feature a range of Australian artists with Dutch heritage or at least a touch of Dutch. Check out the Performers page for a full list of performers to entertain the young and the young at heart.

The Dutch Football Lion: In Holland, the Dutch sing a song about not “letting the Lion into your singlet” whenever Holland plays football against England. “Laat de Leeuw niet in zijn hempdje je staan”

The Findlay Fairground Organ: Des Lang’s Street Organ will entertain in true Amsterdam style and so will a new organ "Marianne" - The small street organ with the big heart and the big sound.

Sjoelbak [pronounced Shool-buck]: a traditional, 19th Century Dutch tabletop shuffleboard game that anyone can play. Come and try your skills at the Holland Festival Sjoelbak Championship. Win great prizes sponsored by, Bendigo Bank of Berwick Wood and Iron Designs (sjoelbak manufacturers) and ADINA Watchmakers - the prize pool will total about $2,500 in 3 age groups.

Enjoy the Kermis (pronounced Kar’rem-iss) is a Dutch children’s carnival. Rides: Cups & Saucers, Merry Go Round, Dragon Ride, and a Jumping Castle.

The festival is committed to being an all-ages festival and will do its’ best to provide for children of all ages, without bankrupting their parents.

Parents can purchase a Kermis Wristband for children for $5, allowing unlimited access to all Kermis rides from 11am to 6pm.
