Metaphors and the Big Story.

Join us for a deep dive into recognising the archetypes and mythology that can be found inside the story. Flexing your improv muscles, practice embodied, storytelling, and build on your playback skills for five whole sessions!( oh and have fun!)Focusing on Archetypes and Metaphors this winter, this course will leave participants with a thorough understanding of the foundations of Playback theatre, and an expanded sense of themselves and their abilities.

Revisiting core improvisation and performance skills, as well as the key elements of Playback theatre – how to listen deeply to stories, how to access metaphor and imagery, how to work as an ensemble to perform a true story.

Sink your teeth into ten delicious hours of Playback this winter – rediscover your sense of play, practice collaboration, open your ears and hearts to the stories of others, strengthen your spontaneity muscle, and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

No experience necessary. We will guide you from the first workshop to the fifth workshop with a performance included.
