Event description

Inspired and led by Emma Cutting's Heart Gardening Project, we have invited inner Melbourne Rotary Clubs to be inspired and learn from Emma's work. We hope each Club will take up an urban gardening project by filling any undervalued and undernourished public space such as nature strips, lane ways, dedicated garden areas and any available land with green, bio-diverse, pollinator-friendly plants.

On Sunday 28 November at 11 am, Emma will lead a street garden walk to view the gardens she created in the very densely populated urban area of South Melbourne to illustrate what can be accomplished. For more details of her achievements, her journey is documented on the The Heart Gardening website and Instagram

By initiating a club street garden environmental project in Rotary District 9800, we hope to become the lead to inspire other clubs and districts in high density urban areas throughout Victoria and Australia.

Please join us for this very special and inspiring event with Emma. Lunch (sandwiches) will be served after the walk and this will be catered by STREAT *in support of upskilling homeless youth.

*We have asked STREAT to cater for lunch and your purchased ticket will assist their invaluable work.
