Roadshow at a Glance

The National Computational Infrastructure (NCI), the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre, the CSIRO, and the ARDC's Nectar Research Cloud invite Melbourne-region researchers, software engineers, data specialists, and HPC users to join us for a one-day Roadshow.

The roadshow is focused on introductory training, emerging technologies, and direct engagement with the national supercomputing community. Lighting talks in the morning will provide a comprehensive overview of Australia’s national high-performance computing (HPC) and data services. Discover the resources, support pathways, and opportunities available to accelerate your research.

In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to choose from one of four novice-level tracks designed to build your foundational skills.

Who should attend?

Researchers & Principal Investigators (PIs) needing to understand allocation schemes and access pathways to support upcoming projects and grant applications.

HDR Students & Early Career Researchers looking to discover what national computational and data resources are available to scale up their research.

Research Software Engineers (RSEs) & Data Specialists wanting a high-level overview of platforms across NCI, Pawsey, CSIRO, and ARDC's Nectar Research Cloud.

Technical Support Staff seeking an up-to-date understanding of Australia’s HPC landscape to better advise their local university teams, and those wanting practical, hands-on familiarity with the specific computing platforms their researchers use daily.

New & Prospective Users seeking foundational, guided training to confidently get started on NCI's Gadi, Pawsey's Setonix, or ARDC's Nectar Cloud.

Current HPC & Cloud Users looking brush up on base skills and connect with NCI, Pawsey, Nectar Cloud and CSIRO teams in person.
