Join us for one of the most popular Melbourne experiences: a relaxing river cruise with beautiful city views, brunch, games, photos and a chance to meet new friends.

This special Halloween River Cruise celebrates Halloween and colourful student life. Students are encouraged to wear costumes, creative outfits or colourful clothing that shows their personality, culture or style.

Event Details

📍 Meeting Point:
The Atrium, near Federation Square
Flinders St, Melbourne VIC 3000

🕙 10:20 AM – Check-in Opens
🕙 10:40 AM – Check-in Closes

Please arrive between 10:20 AM and 10:40 AM. After check-in, our event team will guide everyone from The Atrium to Federation Wharf together.

🚢 10:50 AM – Boarding at Federation Wharf
🚢 11:00 AM – Cruise Departs
🚢 2:00 PM – Cruise Returns to Federation Wharf

⚠️ Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may miss the cruise and cannot be accommodated once the boat has departed.

Cost & Registration

This event is jointly brought to you by the Student Life International Events team and VU Vollies team and is open to both VU international students and VU Vollies.

Please select the ticket that applies to you:

🎟️ Option 1: VU Vollie
For current VU Vollies — both domestic and international students are welcome.

🎟️ Option 2: VU International Student
For current VU international students holding a Student visa (subclass 500).

💲 Registration Fee: $20 (Fully refundable upon attendance)

• Melbourne River Cruise experience

• Lunch and general soft drinks

• Group activities

Dress Code

🎃 Theme: Halloween – Black/White/Orange & Colour

Students are encouraged to get creative with their Halloween look!

Your outfit should include:

• 🖤🤍 Black or white or orange

• 🌈 At least one other colourful element

• 🎃 Halloween costumes, cultural outfits or creative clothing are all welcome

Mix black or white or orange with a splash of colour to create your own Halloween style and bring our colourful international student community to life!

Costumes are optional — but Black/White/Orange + Colour is highly encouraged.

Important Information

• This event is exclusively for VU international students and VU vollies enrolled at VU Melbourne

• No friends or family members can attend, including children

• This is a smoke-free and alcohol-free event

• Please arrive on time - late arrivals cannot be accommodated
