Melbourne Roundtable Lunch: Why Mindset Matters: Nourishing Leadership Today & Tomorrow

Join Business Women Australia Advisory Board Chair Wendy Harper and co-host Sonya Georgievski for a transformative roundtable designed for directors, executives, practice leaders, business owners, and board professionals. Together, we’ll explore how mindset underpins every decision, every challenge, and every outcome.

Wendy will share her leadership journey and explore the cultivation of the 'inner capacities’ for courageous leadership. Peer through the lens of the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) framework and explore empowering connections around ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ world sustainability. She brings all this together with an unwavering commitment to the vital role of women’s social leadership at every stage of life. Travel with her and the Agency for Women as she shares her story about the grassroots women of Vanuatu, on the front lines of escalating climate impacts, working together to establish their very own representative body.

Help celebrate Business Women Australia embracing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and the Inner Development Goals (IDGs with its members; frameworks connected through the cultivation of Inner capacities.

What to Expect

In an increasingly volatile and uncertain world, traditional command-and-control leadership no longer serves. Success requires courage, clarity, and connection, all of which are grounded in mindset - and action.

This facilitated peer roundtable creates a safe space for meaningful dialogue:

  • Share strategies that sustain and energise your leadership

  • Explore the shift from control to empowerment using conscious language

  • Discover practical models and self-awareness tools aligned with the IDGs

  • Gain insight from peers who are navigating their own leadership edge

  • Engage in powerful reflection that strengthens both your impact and influence

The leadership needed today and in the future is purpose-driven, human-centred, and aligned with global transformation.

This conversation will equip you to:

  • Align your leadership mindset with broader sustainability goals

  • Activate your inner development capacities (e.g., critical thinking, openness, self-awareness)

  • Influence your teams with language and presence, not just position

Inclusions

  • A facilitated roundtable led by Wendy Harper in the safety of BWA Chatham House rules

  • Insightful dialogue and shared development with leaders from diverse sectors

  • Working lunch and refreshments in the Servcorp Boardroom (with an opportunity to tour the serviced offices)

  • Leadership mindset insights and valuable connections

At this roundtable, we will share insights and strategies, challenges and opportunities.

Share personal strategies to strengthen inner capacities and a mindset that energises and empowers.

Numbers are limited to ensure every voice is heard. You will gain diverse insights, hearing how other leaders who are at different stages respond and adapt, expanding your own lens.

This is an opportunity to step out of the day-to-day and invest in your leadership.

Secure your place at the table today.
