ABOUT THIS EVENT

Join Dan on an incredible cultural event for the first time with Social Walks. Holi is a Hindu festival celebrating the arrival of spring and the victory of good over evil. Known as the "Festival of Colors," it involves people throwing colored powders, singing, dancing, and enjoying festive foods. 

Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

WHAT TO EXPECT

We'll be starting the night in the Carlton Gardens where we'll have our first powder fight. After exploring the gardens together we'll then head to the Flagstaff Gardens for the second powder fight. Lastly, we'll walk to the Ron Barassi park and join the Holi festival for some food and live entertainment.  

At the Holi festival event you can expect - 

• Colour Play: Enjoy the traditional throwing of non-toxic, plant-based colours.
• Live Entertainment: Experience live music, dance performances, and DJ sets.
• Culinary Delights: Savor a variety of cuisines from numerous food stalls.
• Cultural Activities: Participate in traditional rituals and interactive workshops.

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

Meeting Location: Imax Melbourne (out the front)

Meeting Time: Arrive 6:00pm for a 6:20pm Departure

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 1-2 Litres)

- Snack food for the walk if necessary 

- Money for dinner + Cheers drink

WHAT TO WEAR

- White clothing you won't mind wrecking

- Comfortable walking shoes

- Weather suitable clothing (check weather the night before) 

- Hat or Beanie

FINISH

The day should take around 4 hours with plenty of opportunities for photos and laughs!
