    ABOUT THIS EVENT

Join us for our next Social Walks Expedition on Saturday the 27th of July as we head to Lake Eildon for an epic over night camping trip with hikes on the Saturday and Sunday.

Numbers are strictly capped for this event so grab your ticket quickly if you are keen to join us!

Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

Meet our group and stay up to date with all our events here in our Facebook Group - Melbourne Social Walks

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an over night camping trip and you will be required to bring your own food supplies and camping gear. We have a very limited number of tickets where camping equipment is provided. The equipment provided is a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat and camping pillow only.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

Lake Eildon is one of most iconic National Parks in Victoria. You won't be disappointed by the stunning and picturesque views of the lake. Its a unique part of Victoria with 138 square kilometres of pristine fresh water, gorgeous villages (some of which we'll be passing through) and the kind of hiking terrain that challenges as much as it impresses.

The group will meet at Lilydale Station on the Saturday morning (see details to below) and from there we will convoy (by car) to the Lake Eildon camp site.

(NOTE FOR CARPOOLERS: If you need to organise a ride for this event, feel free to post in our Melbourne Social Walks Facebook group - but please note - you are responsible for your own transport to and from this event).

Once we arrive at the campsite, we will set up camp and then make our way to the first hike.

After the first hike, we will head to Jamieson for a pub dinner (PYOW) and then back to the camp site for a good old fashioned campfire and to rest up for the night.

On the Sunday morning, we will rise early to pack up the campsite and head to Mansfield for a Cafe breakfast (PYOW) before heading off to the 2nd hike.

After the second hike is complete, we will convoy home back to Melbourne.

    THE HIKES

    Hike 1 (Saturday) - Goughs Bay Explorer  - Moderate 8.7kms - 300M Elevation

    Hike 2 (Sunday) - Boonie Doon Rail Trail - Moderate 8.5kms - 90M Elevations
