WHAT TO EXPECT

Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is one of Victoria's officially recognised Alpine Regions and turns into a wonderful Snowy Adventureland during the winter snow season.

The resort is about 2 hours drive from Melbourne and we have organised a professional bus and driver to take us from Caulfield Railway Station to the resort and back. NOTE: There is limited spots (only 20) so book early to avoid disappointment.

We will depart from Caufield Railway Station at 8:30am SHARP and aim to arrive at the mountain by 11:00am. Once at the Mountain we will stop briefly at the resort to allow anyone that needs to hire snow gear the chance to grab what they need and once this is done we will set off to complete the Lake Mountain Summit and Alps Lookout Loop.

The Lake Mountain Summit and Alps Lookout Loop is a 4.5km trail. It is considered a moderate trail due to the Alpine conditions and has around 200m of elevation with a few tough inclines.

The trail should take us around 1.5-2 hours to complete depending on our pace and includes several stunning lookouts (The Marysville Lookout, The Alps Lookout, Sherlocks Lookout and the Taggerty Valley Lookout). Weather permitting we can stop and enjoy our packed lunches at the Summit.

The plan will be to complete the hike and return to the resort by 1:45-2pm which will allow for a full hour of snow play and time to enjoy the resort facilities before we hop back on the bus for our return trip to Melbourne at 3pm - which should have us arriving back at Caufield Station between 5 and 5:30pm.

Once we return to Caulfield, we can head to Zagames Caulfield Hotel for Pub dinner (optional)

All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Transport costs and entry to the resort are NOT included in the MEET US THERE tickets. You will need to organise these things on your own and meet us at the Resort at 11:00am. Entry to the resort is $64 per car and you may be required to have snow chains on your tyres. When a snow chain (wheel chains) direction is in place, you will not be granted access to the mountain or resort if you don't have them.

For all entry, gear hire and resort information, please visit - www.lakemountainresort.com.au
