ABOUT THIS EVENT

Join us for another amazing Social Walk on Saturday the 17th of August as we hike Lilydale Lake and the surrounding wetlands, a sneakily hidden treasure on the edge of suburbia. 

Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Lilydale Lake is a perfect balance between picturesque and adventurous!

The Track is a 8.5 km loop situated at the foothills of Mount Dandenong and the Yarra Valley and will take around 3-4 hours to complete depending on our pace. 

Walkers of all levels of fitness are welcome at this event.

The Lilydale Lake and the surrounding area has a few mild inclines in parts but all in all it is an incredible walk that showcases the beautiful views of the Yarra Valley and Olinda Creek. On the walk we'll see native birdlife at Lilydale Lake, amongst the wonderful gum trees along Olinda Creek and the beautiful surrounding wetlands. Something not to be missed!

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

Meeting Location: Lilydale Train Station Carpark (Free Parking Available)

Meeting Time: Arrive between 9:30 - 9:45am for a 10:00am Departure. 

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 1-2L)

- Snack food for the hike

- Picnic Lunch (or money to buy lunch at a pub/cafe after)

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable Walking Shoes

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather the night before). 

- Hat / Sunglasses & Sun Protection

FINISH

The Hike should take around 3-4 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing. 

We finish back where we started around 1:00pm where we can gather and head to a local Lilydale café for a well deserved coffee.
