ABOUT THIS EVENT

Join us for our next Social Walk with Nathan & Lara on Sunday the 9th of June as we visit Lysterfield Park to complete the Granite Peak Trail & Lake Track Circuit.

Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Granite Peak Trail & Lake Track Circuit trail is a moderate hike (200m of elevation) and requires a reasonable level of fitness to complete - but beginners are welcome.

This hike includes some hills, occasionally walking on some rocky trails and bushwalking which can be slippery and muddy when wet.

The trail includes some beautiful views of Lysterfield Lake some great lookouts, amazing native fauna and most importantly a great chance to spot heaps of Kangaroos and Wallabies. If we get really lucky we may even find some Echidnas!

Starting from the Lysterfield Lark Cark, this hike is around 9kms return.

The Hike should take between 3 to 3.5 hours to complete depending on our pace and how long we stop for lunch.

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

Meeting Location: Lysterfield Lake Boat Ramp (by the Lake)

Meeting Time: Arrive between 9:00-9:20am for a 9:30 Departure.

Parking - There is plenty of free parking at Lysterfield Lake (accessible via Horswood Road and the main entrance).

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 2-3L)

- Snack food for the hike

- Picnic Lunch - We will be stopping for lunch during the hike

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable fit for purpose Walking Shoes

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather the night before).

- Hat / Sunglasses & Sun Protection

FINISH

The Hike should take around 3-3.5 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing and a stop for lunch.

We will finish back around where we started around 2pm, however, the event times are not always perfect, so please allow for a later return time.
