Join Nathan and Dan for one of our most special events yet! Our first ever charity walk in support of the Black Dog Institute and One Foot Forward.

We’re both passionate about mental health, giving back and walking and we would love you to join our team as we strive to walk 10,000km and raise $10,000 for the Black Dog Institute to support Australians suffering with their mental health this October.

This is our first event in support of this amazing cause and 100% of all tickets sales (not including the Humanitix booking fee) will be donated to One Foot Forward!

We will also be donating a further $2 from every ticket sale from every other event this October!

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Yarra River Trail is one of the most stunning walks in Melbourne with beautiful views of the city skyline, MCG and the gorgeous bridges along the Yarra River. The trail is a very easy flat 8km on well kept pathways and the walk is suitable for all levels of fitness and abilities.

Our walk will start at the Riverland Bar by Federation Square and we will walk along the north side of the Yarra River until we reach the famous Church Street Bridge before we cross over and return back towards the city now on the South side of the Yarra River where we will head back to the Riverland Bar for a celebratory drink!

100% of all ticket sales from this event (not including the Humanitix booking fee) will be donated to One Foot Forward

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

Meeting Location: The Riverland Bar, Melbourne

Meeting Time: Arrive 7:00pm for a strict 7:15am Departure.

Parking options: There is plenty paid parking at Federation Square and the meeting point only 150m walk from Flinders Street Station.
NOTE: Arriving on time is critical to the Walk getting away on time. Participants not checked-in by 7:15pm may be left behind.
CARPOOLING: Need help getting a lift to the hike, feel free to post in the Melbourne Social Walks Facebook Group

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 2L)

- Snack food for the hike

- Money for the Pub (optional)

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable sturdy walking shoes

- Weather suitable clothing (check weather the afternoon of the walk)

- Hat or Beanie

FINISH

The Hike should take around 2 hours with some small breaks to take some amazing photos.
