Join us for another awesome Social Walk with Nathan & Lara as we set off to walk one of the most iconic trails in Melbourne - The Bay Trail from Sandringham to St Kilda via Brighton and the Brighton Beach Boxes!

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Sandringham to St Kilda trail is one of the most iconic and picturesque trails in Melbourne offer amazing views of the city and Port Phillip Bay. The trail hugs the coastline from start to finish and is packed full of stunning photo opportunities.

The Sandringham to St Kilda trail is roughly 11km long and will take roughly 3 hours to complete depending on our pace. The trail is mainly flat however does include some hills and sections where we will be walking on the beach. Overall, this is a great trail for beginners and newbies wanting to give walking a go. With so many stunning vistas and views along the way, there will be plenty of stops to take photos and to really enjoy the walk.

The trail includes some awesome highlights such as the Sandringham Band Rotunda (our starting point), Windhover Sculpture, The Swimmer Sculpture, Brighton Beach Gardens, The Brighton Beach Boxes, Elwood Pier, Point Ormond Lookout, St Kilda Beach - this list goes on and on!

We will aim to finish the hike around 12:30pm-1:00pm at the Village Bella Hotel where we can gather to enjoy lunch!

All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event.

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

MEETING LOCATION: Sandringham Band Rotunda (300m from Sandringham Train Station).

MEETING TIME: Arrive between 9:00am - 9:20am to meetup for a 9:30am sharp Departure.

NOTE: Arriving on time is critical to the Walk getting away on time. Participants not check-in by 9:20 may be left behind.

PARKING: There is plenty of free parking at Sandringham Train Station, however please note, this walk does not finish back where we started. You will need to make your own way back to you car from St Kilda.

CARPOOLING: Need help finding a ride to the hike, feel free to post in the Melbourne Social Walks Facebook Group.

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 2-3L)

- Snack food for the hike

- Money for pub/café afterwards (optional)

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable Walking Shoes

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather on the day).

- Hat / Beanie

FINISH

The Hike should take around 3 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing.

The walk starts in Sandringham and finishes in St Kilda.

This is a great hike on an iconic trail. You won't be disappointed by the views!
