Event description
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join expert guides Dan and Adam for a spectacular once in a lifetime wilderness trek through one of the most pristine areas in Australia, Wilsons Promontory National Park. This three day, two night adventure will take you through lush rainforests, secluded beaches and pristine native wildlife habitat. Beginning at the Tidal River Campground, this trek will follow the Oberon Bay walking track to “Roaring Meg”, a secluded fern covered gully campsite classified as the most southern campsite in all of Australia for night one. Day two will follow the Telegraph Track before checking out the famous Wilson’s Promontory Lighthouse and then turning north east onto the SE walking track to finish the day at “Little Waterloo Bay”, a pristine white sand beach and crystal blue water beachside camp surrounded by steep, forested slopes, lilly pilly trees and large granite boulders, for night two. Day three we will re-trace our steps along Waterloo Bay before taking the Little Waterloo Bay track through native bushland to return to Telegraph Saddle carpark to get the shuttle bus back to tidal river and departing home. This trek is for the outdoor enthusiast looking to get out of their comfort zone and into the great outdoors with a total distance covered of around 50km across 3 days of hiking. You will need a good base level of fitness at a minimum to complete the trek as their will be sections with steep hills throughout, with our friendly and experienced guides Dan and Adam able to assist you along the way to help you on your journey.
