    ABOUT THIS EVENT

    Join Dan as we walk along the Yarra river taking in the sights of Warrandyte State Park!

    Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    The Blue Tongue walk is a stunning trail that takes you along the Yarra River through beautiful scenery. Thoughout the reserve located in the Warrandyte State Park you will have amazing views of some authentic native bushland along the Yarra River as well as Australian Wildlife. The path is undulating and offers some challenging parts through thin bush trails as well as flat sections to recover.

    A moderate level of fitness is necessary for this event.

    START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

    Meeting Location: Stiggant reserve public toilets

    Meeting Time: Arrive 10:30am for a strict 10:50am Departure.

    Parking options: - There is plenty of free parking at the meeting location.
    NOTE: Arriving on time is critical to the Walk getting away on time. Participants not checked-in by 10:50am may be left behind.
    CARPOOLING: Need help getting a lift to the hike, feel free to post in the Melbourne Social Walks Facebook Group

    WHAT TO BRING

    - Water (at least 2L)

    - Snack food for the walk if necessary 

    - Money for the café afterwards (optional)

    WHAT TO WEAR

    - Comfortable walking shoes

    - Weather suitable clothing (check weather the night before) 

    - Hat or Beanie

    FINISH

    The Hike should take around 3.5 - 4 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing, animal spotting and river views. 

    We will finish where the hike started.
