Melbourne Social Walks - Williamstown Coastal Loop Sunrise Walk - Easy 5.5km - Dog Friendly!

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Join Dan for another Social Walk on Thursday 11th of July as we embark on a stunning sunrise walk along the jaw dropping coast of Williamstown even feeling the sand of Williamstown beach before looping back where we started.

This is a dog friendly walk so feel free to bring your furry friends along too!

Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

WHAT TO EXPECT

We are going to be catching the full sunrise as we admire the sun slowly rising. Its a lovely walk and we'll also be wandering past the Williamstown beach for anyone wanting a cold dip and through the lush Williamstown botanical gardens. 

The trail is a beautiful way to start the work day with a bang and begins with a positive group of people. Its also a perfect starting point for newbies with an easy and flat walk.

All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event.

Once the hike is finished we will walk to a nearby cafe for a much needed coffee!!

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

Meeting Location: Point Gellibrand Lookout (should be plenty of parking available)

Meeting Time: Arrive 6:30am for a strict 6:45am Departure. Unfortunately we can't afford to wait as long as usual for this one as we want to be in a prime position for the sunrise.

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 2L)

- Snack food for the walk if necessary 

- Money for the cafe afterwards

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable walking shoes

- Hi Vis (brightly coloured and reflective) weather suitable clothing (check weather the night before) 

- Hat or Beanie

- Headlamp (optional but definitely recommended especially for the start of the walk)

FINISH

The Hike should take around 1-1.5 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing. 

We will finish where we started and by this time you should be primed and ready for an incredible Thursday whatever it is you're up to. Be prepared for excellent city views along the gorgeous coast of Williamstown as we finish the week off strong!
