Join Dan on a fantastic night walk through the Carlton Gardens in the evening before heading to the Winter night market at Victoria Market. This will be a perfect way to break up your week with incredible social vibes of the group and getting those extra steps in.

WHAT TO EXPECT

For a limited time we are treated to the late night hours of the Victoria Market. There you can enjoy delicious fresh foods, crackling fires, stalls packed with your favourite goods as well as live entertainment.

The group will meet in front of the Royal Exhibition building where we will wander the Carlton gardens and enjoy the variety on offer in the gardens before heading over to the Victoria Market as a group. Once we arrive there you are all welcome to explore the market at your own leisure for an hour before we meet at a venue inside the market or a nearby pub (location TBC on the night) and sharing a drink together before walking back to the gardens.

The night won't be too difficult as it is all flat with many times to stop and get those incredible pictures you won't be able to resist. All up there will be roughly 5km covered.

The trail should take us around 2.5 - 3 hours to complete, depending on our pace and includes the lush and varied Carlton Gardens, gorgeous city views, The Royal Exhibition building as well as the Queen Victoria Markets at night which will be full of entertainment and incredible food.

After the Market we will all gather and go to a pub to cap the night off with a nice drink and cheers before heading back to the start of the Gardens.

All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event.

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

MEETING LOCATION: Outside the front of the Royal Exhibition Building.

MEETING TIME: Arrive between 6:30pm and 6:45pm SHARP to meetup and check in for an 7:00pm sharp Departure (Plan to arrive early and give yourself extra time for parking and to find the group).

NOTE: Arriving on time is critical for the event starting on time. Participants not checked-in by 6:45 may be left behind.

PARKING: There is ticketed parking along .

Public transport is also an accessible option for this walk. Check the PTV website to plan the route from your area.

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 1-2L)

- Snack food for the hike

- Money for pub (optional)

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable walking shoes.

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing.

- Bring a jacket as it could get fresh.

FINISH

This time around we will be having a drink at the pub before the finish as we will be walking back to the Carlton Gardens (roughly 1.5km) to get back to our cars if we've parked around there. Those that have taken public transport are welcome to leave from the gardens if that's easier. We aim to be back at the Gardens between 9:00pm and 9:30pm (at the latest).
