MELBOURNE SPIKERS WINTER WHACK 2024
This social tournament will see 36 teams gather to play across 5 grades, and compete for the chance to take home a medal.
Whether a frequent attendee or brand new to one of our tournaments, you are bound to have fun.
As is usually the case, this tournament will sell out quickly so be sure to reserve your spot ASAP!
TICKETING
Tickets can only be purchased via this website and are available in the following format. Please read the ticket information carefully to ensure you register correctly.
- Team Tickets:
- Must be purchased prior to individual "Extra Player" tickets (details about these tickets below).
- Each ticket is to register a team of 6 players. Be sure to fill in the names as best you can and, should it be required, changes can be made at a later date by clicking on the "Edit Order" link in your ticket purchase email.
- Tickets are categorised by grade and each grade has a limited number of tickets.
- On sale - 12pm Monday 1st April 2024 to 12pm Friday 24th May 2024 (unless sold out).
- Player Tickets:
- Must only be purchased once a "Team Ticket" has been purchased.
- Be sure to include the correct team name spelling.
- On sale - 12pm Monday 1st April 2024 to 12pm Friday 24th May 2024 (unless sold out).
- Spectator - Lunch Included Tickets:
- This ticket is only for those who wish to be included in the lunch supplied by our caterer.
- On sale - 12pm Wednesday 13th March 2024 to 12pm Friday 24th May 2024.
- Spectator - No Lunch (Free) Tickets:
- This is a free ticket.
- This event, we are keen to track the number of spectators that attend.
- Personal information entered for these tickets will not be used by the club in any way.
- On sale - 12pm Wednesday 13th March 2024 to 12pm Friday 24th May 2024.
Individuals registered without a team will not be able to compete.
Please note that your nominated grade may be adjusted to make the competition more even or for scheduling purposes. If experienced with our tournaments, please ensure you select a grade that suits your teams experience. If unsure about grades, please get in touch.
REFUNDS
Refunds will be available up to 7 days prior to the event date. Please reach out to us after this if, due to extenuating circumstances, you cannot attend closer to the event date.
HUMANITIX FEES
Payable by purchasers and may not be refundable should tickets be refunded at certain points.
COMMUNICATIONS
Most communications will be via the team captains or those players/spectators who communicate with us directly.
VENUE
Eagle Stadium, 35 Ballan Road, Werribee, VIC 3030.
There is plenty of parking available.
BASIC SCHEDULE
- 8.00am - Players are required to be present at the venue for registrations
- 8.30am - General tournament briefing starts
- 9.00am - Games start
- 12.00pm - Lunch
- 5.00pm - Estimated end of tournament
- 7.30pm - Medal presentation
LUNCH
Lunch is provided on the day and is included in the price of all of the paid tickets.
When purchasing tickets you will be asked to register your dietary requirements and, at this stage, the cuisine is TBC.
MEDAL PRESENTATION & CELEBRATION
Sircuit Bar, in Collingwood, will once again play host for our medal presentation and celebration.
Finger food will be provided and drinks can be purchased at the bar.
GAME RULES
The rules will be communicated to team captains and made available on our Facebook event page.
